From 0 to 1000 keywords ranked in one month

Use programmatic SEO to grow your traffic exponentially.

Hey Everyone 👋

You've probably seen me tweet about "Programmatic SEO" (pSEO) recently... I've been running some tests, and the magnitude and speed of the results are impressive, so I felt like I should share more.

pSEO utilizes a data source (Airtable, Sheets, etc. ) to automatically generate customized website pages targeting specific keywords, locations, or topics. Then each column in the data source is connected with formulas so new pages can be added in seconds.

Example:

A local SEO company has a physical office in Boston but serves clients in 100+ cities and has four target keywords they'd like to rank for in each city.

  1. SEO company in X City

  2. Best SEO Service in X City

  3. SEO services in X City

  4. SEO expert in X City

(There may be more, but for the sake of this example, I'm keeping it simple)

How many pages can we programmatically generate? And why do they work?

4 keywords x 100 locations = 400 pages! Depending on the data source, this can easily be scaled to 10,000s or more.

The Data will flow into a Webflow or WP template to transform the raw data into a visually appealing and conversion-ready page that Google will index.

After some time, the pages will rank well because the critical on-page elements (below) will contain the highly specific keywords, which send a strong💪  signal to Google.

**WhaleSync is the tool that connects Airtable to Webflow/WP

  • URL

  • Title tag

  • Meta description

  • H1

  • H2s

  • Paragraph text

These are the location pages housed in Webflow (about ~250). They can be edited individually in Webflow or en mass via Airtable to optimize and improve them over time.

The biggest drawback with pSEO has always been the risk of creating duplicate content. Creating unique content for hundreds or thousands of pages hasn't been worth it.

Until now, this is where it gets exciting!

Using a Data Fetcher connection and an Open AI account, we can create custom prompts that pull from ChatGPT to create unique and local content on each page without lifting a finger...boom!

For this example, we pulled local government-sponsored grants, popular companies, and other local information about each city to create unique and local content to differentiate each page to improve the likelihood it gets indexed and ranks high.

Progress & Results:

Just a few months into this project, impressions have improved 62x while clicks ramp up daily and are up 5x from the previous period. Clicks lag impressions, so we expect clicks to keep growing fast. Lastly, the site has gone from under 50 keywords ranked to over 1000 relevant keywords, bringing high-intent traffic.

Some Quick Math:

Why is programmatic SEO exciting?

Here's the impact on a $2k/mo. service even with modest conversion estimates for when this site has 3,000 pages indexed (5-6 months from now):

500K impressions * 1% CTR = 5,000 visitors

5,000 visitors * 1% Call Booked = 50 Calls

50 Calls * 10% conversion rate = $10K MRR

12 months * 10KMRR * . 75 (assume 25% attrition) = $90K MRR in month 12 🤯🤯🤯

That's a BIG impact...
